Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 15 April 2025  ·  Effective Date: 15 April 2025

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your enrolment in and participation in any programme offered by Mirenza, including our reading series and weekend workshops. By submitting an enquiry or enrolment request, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms form the entire agreement between you and Mirenza in relation to our programmes. Where something is not addressed here, our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy also apply. All programmes are conducted in English and offered in Singapore.

2. Our Programmes

Mirenza offers three reading-led educational programmes for adults aged 40 and above:

  • Personal Finance Vocabulary Reading Series — a six-week reading and discussion series (S$300)
  • Mid-Career Reset Reading Workshop — a two-day weekend workshop for adults aged 42 to 55 (S$870)
  • Family Money Meetings Reading Workshop — a two-day weekend workshop with quarterly follow-up circle (S$155)

All programmes are purely educational in scope. Mirenza does not offer financial advice, financial planning services, investment guidance, or any regulated financial service. Nothing communicated during our programmes constitutes advice, and no programme outcome should be treated as a basis for financial decisions. If you require regulated financial advice, please consult a licensed financial adviser.

3. Enrolment

Enrolment in a Mirenza programme is subject to:

  • Availability of places in the relevant cohort
  • Payment of the programme fee in full prior to the first session
  • Meeting any stated age or eligibility criteria for the specific programme
  • Acceptance of these Terms

Mirenza reserves the right to decline an enrolment request without obligation to provide a reason. Enrolment is personal and non-transferable without prior written consent from Mirenza.

4. Fees and Payment

Programme fees are as stated on the Mirenza website at the time of your enrolment request. All fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are inclusive of printed materials unless otherwise stated. Fees must be settled in full before the first session of the programme. Mirenza will confirm accepted payment methods on request.

There are no hidden charges, optional paid add-ons, or supplementary costs. The stated fee is the total cost.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

The following cancellation policy applies:

  • 14 or more calendar days before the first session: Full refund of the programme fee, less any non-recoverable processing costs (if applicable)
  • 7 to 13 calendar days before the first session: 50% refund of the programme fee
  • Fewer than 7 calendar days before the first session: No refund is available, except in circumstances described below

Exceptions to the above policy may be considered at Mirenza's discretion in cases of serious illness or bereavement, supported by relevant documentation. Any such request should be made in writing to [email protected].

Where Mirenza cancels a programme cohort — due to insufficient enrolments, facilitator unavailability, or other circumstances — enrolled participants will receive a full refund of the programme fee or the option to transfer to a future cohort.

6. Programme Changes

Mirenza reserves the right to make changes to programme schedules, facilitators, and venue arrangements where necessary. Where changes are material, enrolled participants will be notified with reasonable advance notice and offered the option to withdraw with a full refund.

Minor changes to session timing within an agreed cohort period, or substitution of a facilitator of equivalent qualification, do not constitute a material change for the purpose of these Terms.

7. Conduct During Programmes

All participants are expected to:

  • Treat other participants and facilitators with courtesy and respect
  • Maintain the confidentiality of personal information shared by other participants during sessions
  • Refrain from recording sessions (audio, video, or otherwise) without explicit prior consent from Mirenza and all other participants present
  • Refrain from distributing, reproducing, or commercially exploiting programme materials outside of personal reference use

Mirenza reserves the right to ask a participant to leave a session where their conduct disrupts the group or is inconsistent with these Terms. In such cases, no refund will be offered for the remaining programme.

8. Intellectual Property

All programme materials — including reading chapters, glossary cards, workbooks, playbooks, and agenda templates — are the intellectual property of Mirenza and are provided for personal, non-commercial use by the enrolled participant only.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, adapt, or commercially exploit any programme materials without prior written consent from Mirenza. This includes posting materials online, incorporating them into other courses, or sharing them in edited or unedited form with non-participants.

9. Limitation of Liability

Mirenza's programmes are purely educational. Mirenza does not represent or warrant that participation in any programme will result in any particular outcome — financial, personal, or otherwise. No content delivered during a programme constitutes financial advice, and participants should not act on programme content without consulting a licensed professional where relevant.

To the extent permitted by applicable Singapore law, Mirenza's liability to any participant shall be limited to the amount paid by that participant for the relevant programme.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Singapore law.

10. Venue and Facilities

Unless otherwise notified, all in-person sessions are held at Mirenza's premises at 18 Cross Street, #14-05, Cross Street Exchange, Singapore 048423. Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from the venue. Mirenza accepts no responsibility for personal belongings brought to sessions.

11. Photography and Recording

Mirenza does not photograph or record programme sessions without the prior consent of all participants. If Mirenza intends to use images or recordings for any purpose, consent will be sought separately in writing before the relevant session.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your participation in a Mirenza programme shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

13. Changes to These Terms

Mirenza may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on the Mirenza website with a revised effective date. Terms in force at the time of your enrolment apply to your programme. Continued enrolment following notification of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.
